Sheet Metal Finisher

We are recruiting for an experienced Fettler / Deburrer / Metal Finisher for an established and trusted sheet metal and fabrication company based in Ferndown, Dorset.The company are known for their high standards and technical expertise, we supply precision metalwork to a wide range of industries including construction, marine, architectural, and engineering sectors.If you have experience in metal finishing and take pride in quality craftsmanship, this could be the role for you.Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experienceHours: Mon to Thursday 7.45 to 17.00 & Friday 7.45 to 12.45 (38.75 hours per week)Key Responsibilities:Fettling, grinding, and finishing fabricated sheet metal partsRemoving sharp edges, weld splatter, and surface imperfectionsUsing a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., grinders, linishers, sanders)Inspecting parts for quality and consistencyWorking from job cards or verbal instructionsKeeping the work area clean and safeSupporting general fabrication tasks when neededRequirements:Previous experience in fettling or metal finishingConfident using power tools and finishing equipmentHigh attention to detail and good manual dexterityAbility to work independently and meet production targetsUnderstanding of workshop health & safety proceduresDesirable:Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, or aluminiumFamiliarity with welding and fabrication environmentsForklift licence (advantageous)What We Offer:Competitive pay, with regular working hours (Mon-Fri)Overtime availableFlexitimeFriendly and supportive teamCareer development opportunitiesCompany pension schemeFree on-site parkingTo apply for this position please submit an up to date CV and we will be in touch in due course.TPBN1_UKTJ
