With a strong international presence and a reputation for technical excellence, the business works closely with customers and suppliers to solve complex challenges, develop new applications, and create long-term commercial partnerships.Key Responsibilities Develop and execute account strategies aligned with business growth objectives and commercial targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across the UK medical manufacturing and advanced materials sectors. Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers. Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including design houses, OEMs, manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams. Manage and grow an evolving product portfolio, identifying opportunities for new product introduction and market expansion. Provide technical and commercial support to customers, understanding their challenges and delivering value-added solutions. Collaborate with international teams and regional stakeholders to support wider business strategies. Manage customer enquiries, opportunities, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations. Monitor account performance, profitability, and sales activity to ensure business objectives are achieved. Ensure accurate CRM management, pipeline visibility, and effective use of digital sales tools. Support customer development activity, including engagement with design and innovation partners. Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to strengthen market presence and gather industry insight. Stay informed on market trends, customer requirements, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities.Candidate Profile Strong technical and commercial background, ideally with experience within advanced materials, polymers, or a related manufacturing environment. Previous experience working within the medical, healthcare, or highly regulated manufacturing sectors would be advantageous. Degree qualified in polymer chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience. Proven track record in account management, business development, technical sales, or solution-based selling. Ability to understand customer requirements and provide consultative, value-driven solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong networking capability with the ability to build relationships across multiple levels of an organisation. Commercially driven with the ability to develop and implement long-term growth strategies. Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a home-based role. Willingness and ability to travel nationally (approximately 4060%). Strong understanding of market trends, innovation, and customer needs within technical industries. Awareness of regulatory considerations relating to materials, applications, and supply chains. Full UK driving licence required.
