Shift Maintenance EngineerLocation: Sunderland (Critical Facility)Salary: £46,500 per annum + HV Training + BenefitsShift Pattern: 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off (12-hour shifts)We are currently recruiting for an Shift Electrical Engineer to join a leading FM / service provider at a major critical facility in the Sunderland area.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance engineer to step into a high-performance environment, working as part of a structured on-site engineering team responsible for the maintenance and reliability of essential building services.The RoleAs a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical & mechanical and building services systems within a critical environment.Key responsibilities include:Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasksResponding to reactive breakdowns and fault findingDiagnosing and repairing electrical systems and equipmentSupporting the smooth operation of building services infrastructureEnsuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance standardsWorking effectively as part of a shift team to maintain site continuityCompleting accurate maintenance records and documentationCandidate RequirementsWe are looking for electrically biased maintenance engineers with strong building services experience, ideally including:M&E maintenance experience within commercial or industrial environmentsStrong PPM and reactive maintenance backgroundConfident fault-finding and diagnostic skillsGood understanding of building services systems (power, lighting, distribution, etc.)Willingness to work within a critical environmentFlexibility to work a rotating day and night shift patternStrong teamworking and communication skillsExperience within critical environments is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.Package & Benefits£46,500 per annum basic salary2 days / 2 nights / 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts)Fully funded HV training and development opportunitiesOngoing technical training and career progressionLong-term stability within a major FM providerStructured shift team environmentExposure to a critical, high-specification facilityOverviewThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to develop their career within a critical environment.
