Senior Engineering Manager

Location: OrpingtonContract Type: Temp to PermIndustry:SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager (SEM) to lead the engineering aspects of a multi-disciplinary contract, ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions that meet client requirements. The SEM will be embedded within the core Project Team, reporting directly to the Project Lead, and will act as the technical authority on HTM compliance and industry best practices. This role carries responsibility for safety-critical elements and the application of sound engineering principles.Key responsibilities include developing a thorough understanding of project and organisational structures, managing design and maintenance changes, and optimising document control and knowledge sharing. The SEM will provide specialist engineering advice, mentor M&E engineers and technicians, and contribute to asset lifecycle planning. Close collaboration with clinical staff, hospital facility managers, and other stakeholders is essential to ensure M&E systems meet operational needs.The role involves cost estimating for maintenance and new works, enforcing quality policies, leading on-site procedures and inspections, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
