With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued investment across the business, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Managing the commercial delivery of multiple construction projects from pre-contract through to final accountPreparing and managing cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accountsProcuring and managing subcontractor packagesProducing accurate CVRs, cost forecasts, and commercial reportsMonitoring project costs and ensuring commercial performance is maximisedIdentifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycleAdministering contracts and ensuring contractual complianceWorking closely with Project Managers and operational teams to deliver projects on time and within budgetBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholdersSupporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team where requiredThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a Main Contractor environmentExperience delivering projects across sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, or public sector developmentsStrong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contractsExcellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledgeExperience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycleStrong negotiation and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineMembership of RICS or working towards chartered status would be advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £65,000 - £75,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a well-established and financially secure main contractorLong-term career progression within an employee-owned businessExposure to high-profile projects across multiple sectorsSupportive and collaborative commercial teamOngoing professional development and career advancement opportunitiesApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
