Job Description
TSA Surveying is working with an established multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join its expanding team. The opportunity is suited to both Chartered Building Surveyors (MRICS) and candidates progressing towards Chartership, with full support available for APC development.Working across a diverse range of projects, you will provide professional building surveying services from initial inspection through to project completion, delivering practical, high-quality solutions for a varied client portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit planning and building regulations applicationsProduce specifications for tender, carry out tender analysis, and issue reportsSupport senior staff in Party Wall matters (as adjoining owners surveyor, building owners surveyor, or agreed surveyor)Manage projects, including stock condition surveys and EPCsAssist with contract administration duties under JCT and other contract formsUndertake site inspections, surveys, and defect diagnosisCarry out detailed site investigations (including opening-up and testing)Produce accurate, high-quality reports (condition, defect, feasibility) with recommendationsMonitor project progress and attend/chair meetings with clients and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedureCandidate Requirements Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.Chartered (MRICS) or actively progressing towards Chartership.Previous experience within a consultancy environment.Sound technical knowledge of building construction, pathology and defect diagnosis.Experience producing specifications, schedules of work and technical reports.Good understanding of Planning legislation and Building Regulations.Experience administering building contracts, particularly JCT contracts.Strong project management and organisational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective client relationships.Experience of Party Wall matters would be advantageous.Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.What's on Offer Opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of building surveying projects.Ongoing professional development and support towards APC/Chartership where applicable.Collaborative and supportive working environment within a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy.Long-term career progression and exposure to a diverse client base.Key Details:Location - OrpingtonWork - HybridSalary - £40,000 to £50,00 (ultimately always up for negotiation depending on experience and value an individual can bring)Start Date - ASAPInterested?
