OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly advanced fabrication facility delivering end-to-end projects, from initial CAD design through to full-scale manufacturing.This role is ideal for a skilled and detail oriented Machine Setter / Operator with experience in sheet metal fabrication, looking to work in a fast paced, high quality production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain a range of sheet metal fabrication machinery, including laser cutters, press brakes, panel benders and punch pressesSet up and adjust machinery in line with job specifications and technical drawingsEnsure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standardsConduct inspections and quality checks to ensure components meet required tolerancesCarry out routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and basic servicingReport faults, breakdowns, or process issues promptly to supervisionAccurately complete production and quality documentationIdentify, report, and help control defectsCollaborate closely with the wider manufacturing teamContribute to continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and performanceMaintain a clean, organised, and safe working environmentUndertake additional duties as requiredHealth, Safety & ComplianceAdhere to all Health & Safety procedures to ensure personal and team safetyComply with Quality Management System (QMS) standardsMinimise environmental impact in all work activitiesTake ownership of tasks to ensure they are completed accurately and on timeRequirementsEducationGCSE level or equivalentExperiencePrevious experience as a Machine Setter / Operator, ideally within a sheet metal fabrication environmentExperience operating laser cutting machines, press brakes, or similar equipment is highly desirableSkills & CompetenciesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specificationsStrong understanding of metal cutting processes and tolerancesKnowledge of machine setup, operation and basic troubleshootingHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityProactive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethicAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsClear and effective communication skills at all levelsGood interpersonal skillsForklift licence (desirable but not essential)Whats on OfferOpportunity to work on high-end projectsModern, well-equipped manufacturing environmentSupportive team culture with a focus on continuous improvementCareer development opportunities within a growing businessIf you are an experienced Machine Operator looking to take the next step in a dynamic and precision-driven environment, we encourage you to apply.39 hour week working Mon Thurs 7.30am 4.30pm. & Fri 7.30am 12.30pmIf you are an experienced Machine Setter/ Operator and are currently looking for a new challenge then please submit an up to date CV by using the apply button below.By applying for this position, you confirm that you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the purposes of recruitment, employment and working finding service.TPBN1_UKTJ
