I'm working exclusively with a highly regarded manufacturer who are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their plant in Blackburn on a double days shift pattern.This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer with strong multi-skilled capability to join a fast-paced production environment where reliability, continuous improvement, and teamwork are key.Key ResponsibilitiesReactive Maintenance & Fault FindingRespond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production disruptionDiagnose faults across electrical and mechanical systemsImplement effective, long-term fixes to prevent repeat issuesPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks in line with the PPM systemProactively identify improvements to maintenance plans and asset reliabilityContinuous ImprovementSupport initiatives such as TPM, Lean, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Analyse recurring faults and production lossesContribute to improvements in machine performance, efficiency, and outputHealth, Safety & ComplianceConduct risk assessments before carrying out workEnsure all maintenance is completed safely and equipment is returned in a safe conditionSupport audits, compliance activities, and close-out of actionsDocumentation & CommunicationComplete maintenance logs, work orders, and shift reports accuratelyEnsure clear handovers between shiftsWork closely with production and engineering teamsStores & Asset ManagementManage spare parts usage and ensure correct booking proceduresReport stock issues and support inventory controlCandidate RequirementsQualificationsNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringApprentice-trained (desirable)HNC/HND (advantageous but not essential)ExperienceProven experience within a manufacturing or factory environmentStrong multi-skilled knowledge across electrical and mechanical systemsExperience working in a fast-paced production settingSkillsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilityAbility to work independently and under pressureGood communication and team collaboration skillsBenefits25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (increasing with service)Bonus scheme (up to 15%) based on company performanceEnhanced pension (up to 7% employee / 8% employer)Health cash plan (Health Shield)Life assuranceSubsidised canteen + free on-site parkingCycle to work scheme, EAP, and additional employee perksWhy Apply?Stable, well-invested manufacturing environmentStrong focus on continuous improvement and engineering excellenceCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to develop within a growing businessRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidatesTPBN1_UKTJ
