Quantity Surveyor - ConsultancyLocation - Telford, ShropshireSalary/Package - £50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits PackageAbout the CompanyOur client is a well-established independent construction consultancy providing professional quantity surveying, project management, employer's agent, and cost consultancy services across the UK. With decades of industry experience, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering commercially focused advice and successfully managing projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, retail, and public sectors.Known for their collaborative approach and commitment to delivering value for clients, the business works closely with developers, contractors, local authorities, and private sector organisations from project inception through to completion. Due to continued growth and an expanding workload, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Telford.The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Providing professional quantity surveying services across a diverse portfolio of construction projectsPreparing cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans throughout the project lifecycleProducing tender documentation and supporting procurement activitiesManaging valuations, variations, and final accountsUndertaking cost reporting and financial forecastingAdvising clients on commercial and contractual mattersSupporting contract administration under JCT and NEC forms of contractCarrying out risk management and value engineering exercisesAttending client meetings and site visits as requiredBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholdersThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within either a Private Quantity Surveying consultancy or a Main Contractor environmentStrong commercial and contractual knowledge, ideally including JCT and/or NEC contractsExperience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycleExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong commercial awareness and attention to detailThe ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineWorking towards or already holding MRICS status would be advantageous, but is not essentialWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a respected and growing construction consultancyExposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectorsLong-term career progression and professional developmentSupport towards professional qualifications where applicableCollaborative and supportive working environmentOpportunity to work with a broad range of public and private sector clientsApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
