Our portfolio includes a wide range of power, data and control cables manufactured to British and international standards, and we have a successful track record of delivering cable solutions to over 130 countries.It is Eland Cables unswerving commitment to quality and the reliability of our service, including project logistics and comprehensive technical support, that lets us consistently deliver exceptional results for our customers.The RoleWorking with customers/suppliers/drivers and other traffic desks, planning routes and scheduling delivery times to ensure the smooth running of the operationPrioritising workload, route planning driver brief and de-briefLiaise with other depots, possess clear communication skills speaking directly to both drivers and customersStrong organisational skills for planning schedules, journeys and loadsProactively work to reduce late deliveries and missed time slotsAbility to work flexibly and to make decisions quicklyExcellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levelsMaintain computerised TMS system and using GPS telematic data reporting. Have the skills to use excel spread sheetsA good understanding of transport regulations currently in forceGood geographical knowledgeMust monitor Compliance and work with drivers and Compliance to eliminate infringementsMust be an integral part of and is responsible for employee health and safetyEnsure that vehicles and trailers are available in a timely manner to adhere to Compliance and inspection requirementsProvide general support appropriate to the management when requireChecking driving licences and ensure Company drivers are compliant and legal to drive within the scope of the conditions of the InsuranceThe ability to solve problems within minutes, not hoursSkills required:Previous transport related customer service-based experience would be an advantagePrevious experience of operating successfully in a fast-paced and demanding environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA friendly approach over the phone and emailExcellent PC and keyboard skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritise workloadEnthusiastic, friendly and enjoys working in a teamReliable, punctual & flexibleThe successful candidate must have a genuine desire to be a difference maker in a customer-centric organisation operating at an extremely fast-pace.Benefits- Competitive Salary Plus Night-shift Premium- 45 hours per week, flexibility essential.- Private Health Care- Option to join our pension scheme after initial 3 months.- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.- Training provided.- Uniform provided.This role is 100% office basedTPBN1_UKTJ
