Tooling Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric propulsion technology, requires a talented Tooling Manufacturing Engineer to join its dynamic team.This is a contract role outside IR35.R esponsibilities:Provide tooling design support & DFM/A inputDefine tooling requirements alongside manufacturing methodDesign and validate production tooling and fixturesProduce complete tooling documentation & lifecycle controlsSupport prototype builds, tooling commissioning and process improvementRequirements:Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experienceSignificant and demonstrable experience in the design and development of production tooling within an aerospace or automotive environmentKnowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitationsExperience using CAD software: Solidworks/NX/CatiaExperience of PFMEA and Control Plan development leading to robust process developmentKnowledge of equipment maintenance requirements and schedulingExperience in completing risk assessments and ergonomic assessmentsAbility to support and plan for future opportunities/volumes, while having the ability to manage day-to-day activitiesTPBN1_UKTJ
