Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Multi-Skilled EngineerMonday to Friday | 8:00am 4:30pm | Overtime AvailableWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical skills, welding and fabrication experience, and a problem-solving mindset.You will play a vital role in maintaining factory machinery, minimising downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Maintenance- Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and production-critical issues- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across all site equipment- Diagnose and repair faults on grading, weighing, washing, and packing machinery- Maintain mechanical systems including motors, gearboxes, and drive systems- - Support hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repairs- Complete welding and fabrication work for repairs and bespoke projects- Ensure all machinery is maintained to engineering and safety standards- Assist with investigations into foreign object complaints and implement corrective actions- Carry out occasional maintenance of buildings and site services- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and industry regulationsSkills & Experience Required- Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within manufacturing or production- Strong mechanical engineering background- Welding and fabrication experience- Ability to fault-find and work effectively under pressure- Good communication and teamwork skills- Understanding of health & safety and food safety standardsWhats on Offer- Monday to Friday working pattern- Opportunity for additional overtime hours- Stable and supportive working environment- Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement projectsCOG LTD are acting as an Employment Agency.TPBN1_UKTJ
