Morson Talent are recruiting on behalf of Safran Actuation Systems for an experienced Heat Treat Operator to join their manufacturing team in Wolverhampton.Safran is a global leader in aerospace, defence and space technologies, supporting some of the world's leading aircraft programmes. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment, contributing to critical heat treatment processes and quality-controlled operations.The Role As a Heat Treat Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of heat treatment and testing activities on aerospace components, ensuring all work is completed in line with quality standards, engineering specifications, and Nadcap requirements.You will play a key role in maintaining process compliance, supporting quality investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Heat Treat Department.Key Responsibilities Operate in accordance with quality procedures and Nadcap requirements.Complete PIR sheets and associated process documentation accurately.Read and interpret engineering drawings and process specifications.Mask and heat treat components using a range of processes including: CarburisingVacuum HardeningSalt Bath HardeningTemperingSupport all heat treatment processes within the manufacturing route.Conduct material testing activities including: Tensile TestingIzod Impact TestingVickers Hardness TestingMicrohardness TestingReview recorder data to ensure compliance with drawing and specification requirements.Carry out daily TPM and furnace monitoring activities to ensure equipment remains fit for purpose.Assist with non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.Support departmental continuous improvement initiatives.About You We're looking for candidates with experience within a heat treatment, metallurgical, or precision manufacturing environment who can demonstrate:Knowledge of manufacturing quality procedures and controlled processes.Experience across a range of heat treatment processes.Experience of material testing and hardness testing techniques.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.A proactive approach with the ability to work independently when required.Desirable Experience Aerospace manufacturing experience.Nadcap-controlled environment experience.AS9100 quality systems knowledge.Experience supporting quality investigations and continuous improvement activities.TPBN1_UKTJ
