C1 Licence Holder Mobile Library Driver

We are currently working with LB Hillingdon to recruit an interim C1 driver to cover sickness.You will need to have your current digitacho and CPC.ROLE PURPOSE:To drive the mobile library vehicle and carry out routine tasks to ensure efficient operation of the service, serving customers in a helpful and professional manner.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the mobile library on set routes and timetables, manoeuvring the vehicle safely at all timesComplete all daily vehicle check sheets and ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy; report any maintenance faultsOperate the wheelchair lift safely, taking responsibility for the health and safety of yourself, staff and service usersServe members of the public in a polite and welcoming manner, adhering to customer care and equalities policiesOperate the library computer system to process circulation of itemsRegister new members and maintain membership records in line with GDPRAnswer enquiries relating to library stock and facilitiesShelve returned items, tidy shelves and maintain a high standard of presentationHandle complaints in accordance with the complaints procedureAdhere to safeguarding procedures and guidelines on handling unacceptable behaviourComply with the Council's Health and Safety Policy and fire procedures at all timesFlex working patterns as required to ensure frontline service coverWe will be applying for a DBS on your behalf.
