Build the services that power better pet care!At Pets at Home , were transforming how we deliver care to pets and their owners through smart, scalable technology. As a Services Developer , youll play a key role in building the service and API layer that underpins our digital ecosystem, working in Agile teams to design, develop and deliver high-quality solutions that make a real difference.The role offers hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.What youll be doing:Designing & building robust services and APIs to solve business challengesCreating reusable components to accelerate future developmentDeveloping and maintaining automated unit and integration tests (TDD where possible)Collaborating with Product Owners and Stakeholders to shape and prioritise featuresContributing across the full Agile lifecycle, from backlog refinement to demos and retrospectivesWorking with internal teams and third-party partners to deliver seamless solutionsMaintaining clear, effective technical documentationWhat youll bring:Strong experience with .NET / .NET Core and C#Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure preferred)Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture and API designExperience working in Agile environmentsA customer-first mindset with a focus on outcomesConfidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersNice to have:Experience with TDD, CI/CD and Azure DevOpsKnowledge of SQL / NoSQL databasesWhy join us?Be part of a purpose-driven business passionate about pet careWork in a collaborative, Agile environment where your ideas matterHelp shape scalable services supporting a growing digital platformEnjoy a flexible, hybrid working model and a supportive cultureIf youre a forward-thinking developer who enjoys solving problems and building impactful services, wed love to hear from you!Pets just see people.
