Salary: £450 per day

We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to our client on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Welwyn, working directly with the council. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic professional who is ready to handle responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Manage covenant and deed releases, ensuring compliance with local regulations and historical restrictions.
  • \n
  • Oversee rent reviews and provide technical support to the team.
  • \n
  • Engage in property valuation for freehold reversion and lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform and Urban Development Act 1993 and the Leasehold Reform Act 1967.
  • \n
  • Work closely with local residents and businesses to facilitate lease extensions and manage property-related transactions.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as an Estates Surveyor, particularly in commercial landlord and tenant engagements.
  • \n
  • Strong technical knowledge in handling covenant releases and consents.
  • \n
  • Experience in property valuation for lease extensions and freehold reversions.
  • \n
  • Excellent understanding of the local property market
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
  • \n

Educational Qualifications:

\n

A Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Real Estate, or a related field.

\n

Professional Accreditation:

\n

Membership of a recognised professional body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is highly desirable. This could be MRICS or FRICS status.

\n
