Job Description

We're recruiting for an Estates Officer to join a busy housing team based in Newark-on-Trent, helping maintain safe, clean and well-managed neighbourhoods while providing a visible presence within local communities.\n
\nResponsibilities of the Estates Officer:\n
    \n
  • Carry out regular estate and neighbourhood inspections
  • \n
  • Act as the eyes and ears on the ground, identifying and reporting issues
  • \n
  • Engage with residents and promote positive estate standards
  • \n
  • Support tenancy compliance through advice, guidance and community engagement
  • \n
  • Complete minor DIY and practical maintenance tasks
  • \n
  • Litter pick and report fly-tipping or environmental concerns
  • \n
  • Check communal buildings and vacant properties
  • \n
  • Report repairs, anti-social behaviour and other neighbourhood issues
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records and escalate concerns to the relevant teams
  • \n
What we're looking for:\n
    \n
  • Customer-facing or public service experience
  • \n
  • Background in housing, estates, caretaking, facilities, community safety or similar roles desirable
  • \n
  • Strong communication and community engagement skills
  • \n
  • Basic DIY/practical maintenance ability
  • \n
  • Comfortable working independently and outdoors
  • \n
  • Full clean UK driving licence and confident driving a company van
  • \n

\nWhat's on offer:\n

  • £20.00£25.00 per hour (Umbrella, depending on experience)
  • \n
  • 3-month temporary contract (potential to extend)
  • \n
