Marine Electrician

The Role:This opportunity is with a well-established marine engineering and boatbuilding business specialising in bespoke vessel build, refit, restoration, and maintenance projects. They are looking for a skilled Marine Electrician to support the installation, fault finding, testing, and commissioning of onboard electrical systems across a variety of high-quality marine projects, working within a hands-on and detail-focused environment.Responsibilites:Installation and maintenance of marine electrical systems onboard vesselsFault finding and diagnostics on electrical and control systemsReading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentationInstallation of cabling, containment, switchboards, lighting, and control panelsTesting and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure safe operationWorking on AC/DC systems, batteries, generators, and distribution systemsCarrying out repairs, upgrades, and modifications to onboard equipmentEnsuring all work is completed in line with marine safety and compliance standardsSupporting vessel refit, fit-out, and new build projectsConducting inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtimeCollaborating with mechanical, fit-out, and engineering teams during installationsMaintaining accurate documentation and completing job reportsWorking Hours40-hour weekMonday to Friday08:00 16:30 (30-minute lunch break)Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rateBenefits (Permanent)Once permanent, the role offers a strong benefits package including:21 days holiday plus all Bank HolidaysPaid day off on your birthdayUp to 5% matched pension contributions (Royal London Personal Pension)Life insurance at 2x annual salary (death in service)Accident insurance covering 75% of salary for up to 2 years (home or work accidents)Private healthcare scheme, with option to extend to close family(pre-existing conditions and cancer cover excluded)Travel allowance: 10p per mile, both ways, to support daily commuting costsTPBN1_UKTJ
