Finance AssistantLocation: Hereford (Own Transport required due to location)Salary: £29,000Hours: Full Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week | Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pmAre you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a varied role within a professional and supportive team?We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a well-established property management business based in Hereford, supporting clients across Herefordshire, Shropshire, surrounding counties and Wales.This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated accounts servicing team where you will manage your own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for a range of key accounting processes, including sales and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and management reporting.The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or actively working towards qualifications and will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging client sales ledger, including monthly rent demand generation, rent receipting and monitoring aged debtorsMaintaining client purchase ledger, including invoice processing, preparing BACS payments and monitoring aged creditorsCompleting monthly bank account reconciliations for clientsPreparing VAT returns, including Partial Exemption calculationsProducing monthly management reports, client statements and cash flow analysisPreparing annual accounts information for clients' accountantsMaintaining accurate financial records and ensuring client confidentiality at all timesAbout YouAAT qualified or working towards AAT qualificationExperience preparing and submitting VAT returns with a good understanding of VAT processesExcellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate recordsHighly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyCalm and professional when working under pressureStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working as part of a team while managing individual responsibilitiesA positive attitude and a willingness to support colleaguesCompetent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookWillingness to learn and use new in-house IT systemsA high level of discretion and commitment to maintaining client confidentialityBenefitsSalary of £29,00025 days annual leave plus public holidaysAdditional leave during the period between Christmas and New YearFree on-site parkingSubsidised travel if required to work from another office locationSubsidised training and career development opportunitiesOpportunity to develop your skills within a respected and established businessIf you are looking for a varied finance role within a friendly and professional environment, this could be the perfect opportunity to progress your career.Please send your cv in confidence toPS1TPBN1_UKTJ
