Multitask Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding manufacturing company looking to add an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler to its team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, and working closely with multiple departments to drive operational success.If you're organised, proactive and enjoy solving problems, this could be the perfect next step in your career.The RoleReporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to maximise efficiency, minimise downtime and ensure customer deadlines are consistently achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, maintain and optimise daily and weekly production schedulesGenerate and release manufacturing works orders using the MRP systemMonitor production progress and make schedule adjustments where requiredWork closely with Purchasing to ensure materials are available when neededLiaise with Production, Quality and Logistics teams to keep operations running smoothlyManage changing priorities while maintaining excellent customer service levelsMaintain accurate planning data and production recordsIdentify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiencyAbout YouWe're looking for someone who can confidently balance multiple priorities while communicating effectively across the business.You'll ideally have:Previous experience as a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or in a similar planning roleExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environmentKnowledge of MRP or ERP systemsStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesGood Microsoft Excel and general IT skillsHigh attention to detail with a proactive approachDesirable ExperienceSheet metal fabrication or engineering manufacturingKnowledge of laser cutting, fabrication, welding or assembly processesLean manufacturing or continuous improvement principlesProduction capacity planning and schedulingWhat's on Offer?Competitive salaryMonday to Friday workingCompany pension scheme28 days holiday, including Bank HolidaysOngoing training and developmentGenuine opportunities for career progressionSupportive, friendly working environmentLong-term opportunity with a growing manufacturerIf you're looking to join a business where your planning expertise will make a real difference and where you'll have the opportunity to grow your career, we'd love to hear from you.At Multitask Recruitment Solutions, we are committed to equal opportunities for all.
