Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Test & Certification Engineer to join their team in Cwmbran on a permenant basis.Key Responsibilities:The Test & Certification Engineer will be responsible for consolidating, developing, and driving physical verification, validation, and compliance capabilities. This role ensures that device and system performance meets internal and external requirements through rigorous virtual and physical tests.Support Certification projects at third-party notification bodies during testing and certification phasesCheck documentation to ensure a right-first-time approach to deliver projects on time and within budgetExecute verification, validation, and certification work packages with guidance from the lead compliance engineerFollow department standard practices, engineering reviews, and guidelinesWork as part of the R&D Engineering team on new and legacy Fire Alarm devices and systems, ensuring compliance with international standardsPrepare applications and data packages for test agencies, successfully fulfilling responsibilitiesSupport third-party test houses with testing and verificationAssist in preparing for and participating in test agency auditsWork with stakeholders to align pre-compliance test plans, test specifications, and schedulesPerform GAP analyses and impact assessments for compliance testingKeep up-to-date with emerging engineering practices and British/European StandardsPerform other duties as assigned by the line managerJob Requirements:HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant engineering disciplineExperience in a test, verification, and compliance roleStrong electronic and electrical backgroundExcellent communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and time management skillsBenefits:Competitive compensation and benefits packageChallenging projects in a dynamic, collaborative teamGreat company benefitsOpportunities for internal promotionOngoing learning and development opportunitiesCommitment to improving safety, efficiency, and sustainabilityHealth and safety prioritised, with wellness programs to support employeesIf you are an experienced Compliance Engineer looking for a new opportunity to further develop your career, we would love to hear from you.
