You trial them, they trial you, and for a good prepper it goes permanent. No gambling your notice on a place you've never seen.You'll be: sanding, flatting and feather-edging, filler and stopper work, priming (etch, epoxy, polyester), accurate masking, DA and air-fed sanders, prepping bare metal and repairs for proper adhesion then signing off the surface before it hits the booth.You'll need: proven bodyshop prep experience, confident with primer systems and masking, a methodical eye, and the pace to keep cars moving in a busy shop.
