HR ManagerLocation: North Yorkshire (Site-Based)Salary: £45,000 per annumThe OpportunityOur client is a well-established manufacturing business in North Yorkshire, employing around 70 people as part of a wider international group. They are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the site's HR function.This is a hands-on generalist role, offering the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team, support managers across the full employee lifecycle, and drive best practice in people management. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a visible, operational environment where they can make a genuine impact.About the RoleAs the HR Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering a proactive HR service across the business, including:Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability matters.Providing practical HR advice and support to managers on day-to-day people issues.Leading recruitment, onboarding and probation processes.Preparing contracts, HR correspondence and maintaining accurate employee records.Coordinating payroll information and ensuring HR compliance with UK employment legislation.Reviewing and updating HR policies and supporting continuous improvement of HR processes.Supporting performance management, employee development and annual review processes.Producing HR reports and people metrics to support business decisions.Driving employee engagement initiatives and promoting a positive workplace culture.Acting as the key HR contact for the wider group HR function where required.What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will have:Proven experience in a generalist HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.Strong employee relations experience and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced operational or manufacturing environment.Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the confidence to work autonomously.CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business in a standalone HR role where you'll have the autonomy to shape the people agenda while being supported by an experienced leadership team and wider group HR network.TPBN1_UKTJ
