This growth has been driven by a strong commitment to its people, a customer - focused service ethos, and continued investment in advanced technology and operational capability.Glennon Brothers operates a multi - site footprint across Longford, Fermoy, Enniskillen, Troon, Irvine, Windymains and Invergordon, providing a diverse and collaborative working environment across its Group brands and functions.Principal ObjectiveReporting to the Financial Controller, the Credit Controller will manage customer credit risk, minimise financial exposure, customer accounts and ensure the aged debt levels are kept to a minimum.The role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow by managing and collecting outstanding customer debts efficiantly. This involved assessing credit risk, setting appropriate credit limits. Monitoring oayments behaviour and ensuring timely collection of invoices.Knowledge & ExperiencePrevious experience in a credit controller role ideally within a manufacturing or production environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsStrong data accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational capabilityAbility to work across multiple stakeholders and support cross-functional processesKey ResponsibilitiesAssess and approve customer credit limits in line with company policyMonitor customer payment behaviour and proactively manage risk exposureConduct credit checks and support onboarding of new customersRegularly review and update credit limits to reflect trading performanceProactively manage aged debt and ensure timely collection of outstanding balancesDrive reduction in overdue debt across agreed timelinesEscalate high-risk or complex accounts and implement appropriate recovery actionsMaintain accurate debtor records and ensure alignment with financial reportingPartner with Sales and Commercial teams to support responsible revenue growthResolve invoicing and payment queries efficiently, identifying and addressing root causesMaintain professional and constructive relationships with customersSupport decision-making on trading terms, ensuring balance between risk and opportunityEssential CompetenciesAttention to Detail Maintains high levels of accuracy across financial data, reporting, and reconciliationsFinancial & Analytical Capability Interprets financial data and supports reporting, analysis, and decision-makingExecution & Accountability Delivers accurate and timely financial processing and follows through on responsibilitiesCommunication & Collaboration Works effectively with Finance, Production, and Commercial teams to support business operationsPlanning & Organisation Manages multiple priorities and deadlines across finance and administrative tasksProblem Solving Identifies discrepancies or issues and takes practical steps to resolve themKey Performance MeasuresDebtor Days (DSO) and aged debt profileAccuracy and timeliness of financial processingEffectiveness of credit control and aged debt managementIdentification and resolution of discrepancies and variancesKey RelationshipsFinancial Controller and Finance TeamSales and Commercial TeamsProduction, Dispatch and Site TeamsCustomers and external stakeholdersTPBN1_UKTJ
