A County Durham based manufacturer, supplying fabricated metal products to the construction sector, is recruiting an Operator for their production facility.Reporting to the Team Leader, the Operator role covers the running of punch and press machinery to agreed design specifications and quality standards. This is a practical, active Operator position within an established production team.Key responsibilitiesOperating punch and press machinery to required specificationsSupporting the evaluation of engineering drawingsWorking towards individual and team production targetsCompleting safety checks and documentation to standardCarrying out TPM and reporting repair or servicing needsMoving material around the factory as neededContributing to new working methods and process improvementsMaintaining a safe, organised workspace in line with 5SWhat you'll bringAt least three years' relevant industry experience operating punch and press machineryStrong attention to detail and confidence with maths and technical drawingsFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principlesA flexible, practical approach to problem solvingAs an Operator, you should be able to work confidently with minimal supervision, as in depth training is not provided for this position.Also, the employer is UNABLE to offer sponsorship, so applicants must have full right to work within the UK.TPBN1_UKTJ
