Procurement & Supply Chain ManagerSalary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annumWorking Hours: 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to FridayHoliday: 20 days + bank holidaysBenefits: Pension contribution scheme, Christmas bonus scheme, Christmas shutdownRole OverviewThe Procurement & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and purchasing goods and services from external suppliers to meet business requirements. The role oversees and optimises procurement processes, manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services that meet required standards.The role also includes responsibility for the internal stores function, ensuring efficiency and integrity of stock control systems.About the companyThis is a well-established UK manufacturing business operating within the ventilation, fire protection, and engineered building products sector.The organisation forms part of a wider international group recognised for innovation, engineering excellence, and high-quality manufacturing standards across Europe and beyond.The business supplies a broad range of products and bespoke OEM solutions, supporting customers across construction, building services, and industrial sectors.With a strong focus on operational efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement, the company is investing in its people, systems, and facilities to support continued growth and long-term development.The UK operation is based in a modern, purpose-built manufacturing facilityKey ResponsibilitiesIdentify procurement needs across the business and manage direct procurement of raw materials, resources, goods, and services for manufacturing operationsDevelop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectivesSource, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and qualityMonitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationshipsPrepare and manage procurement budgets in line with financial objectivesOversee the full procurement process including purchase orders, approvals, and delivery timelinesIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks to prevent disruptionCollaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement requirements are aligned across the businessMaintain accurate procurement records and documentationEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsTrack and analyse key performance indicators to drive cost reduction and efficiencyMonitor industry trends and developments to improve procurement strategyKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar roleIdeally CIPS qualified (or working towards)Educated to degree level or equivalentStrong negotiation and supplier management skillsExcellent understanding of procurement principles and supply chain processesExperience with inventory and stock control systemsProficiency in procurement software and toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and leadership skills with previous man-management experienceAbility to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detailRelevant professional memberships desirableStrong IT skillsCommitment to health, safety, and compliance in the workplaceSupportive of equal opportunities and inclusive working practicesStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
