Start Date: 20th July 2026£13.45 per hourQuest Employment is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Peterborough (PE3) for an enthusiastic and reliable Temporary Assistant Chef to join their friendly team.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious food while making a positive impact within the local community.The RoleWorking alongside the Café Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of a busy community café, helping to prepare and serve high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food hygiene and customer service standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing and cooking fresh meals from the daily menu.Assisting with menu planning using fresh, seasonal ingredients.Supporting the Café Manager with the smooth day-to-day operation of the café.Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.Assisting with stock control and ordering when required.Delivering excellent customer service to café visitors.Supporting community events and activities as required.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience working in a busy kitchen preparing meals for large numbers.Level 2 Professional Cookery/Culinary Skills qualification (or equivalent).Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.Excellent organisational and communication skills.A positive, team-focused attitude with a passion for quality food and customer service.Ability to work some weekends.Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).What's on OfferTemporary assignment starting 20th July 2026 .Friendly and supportive working environment.Opportunity to gain experience within a rewarding community-focused setting.Weekly pay through Quest Employment.If you're an experienced Assistant Chef looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today with your CV or contact Quest Employment for more information.TPBN1_UKTJ
