Commercial LeadLocation: London (Future frequent EU travel required)Join an International Engineering & Construction Contractor, working on Hyperscale Data Centres across the EU!We're working with a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering complex hyperscale data centre projects across Europe and are looking for a Commercial Lead to join the team in London and play a key role in the commercial success of major engineering and construction projects.As Commercial Lead, you will:Lead the commercial management of major engineering and construction projects from pre-contract through to final accountSupport contract negotiation, contract administration and commercial risk managementWork closely with project managers, operational teams and senior leadership to protect project margin and drive commercial performanceManage cost reporting, forecasting, change control, variations, claims and final accountsReview and advise on contract terms, commercial obligations and project riskBuild strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupport procurement and subcontractor commercial managementProvide commercial guidance to project teams and ensure best practice is followedIdentify opportunities to improve commercial processes, reporting and project controlsRepresent the commercial function professionally across UK and future European projectsA Commercial Lead will have:Proven experience in a Commercial Manager, Commercial LeadHND or higherStrong understanding of construction contracts, commercial governance and project financial controlExperience managing change, variations, claims and final accountsExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with clients, project teams and senior leadershipA proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to make sound commercial decisionsStrong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skillsThe ability to travel into Europe as the role developsA degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageousWhy Join?
