Electrical Design Engineer

Your new companyA well-established and successful Electrical Contractor based in Moy, Co Tyrone is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding Pre-Construction team. The business delivers a diverse range of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector sectors, offering the opportunity to be involved from initial concept through to project completion.Your new roleAs an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and coordination of electrical building services installations across a wide range of projects.Working closely with project teams, clients and other design disciplines, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant and cost-effective electrical designs while supporting the wider development of the department.Producing electrical building services designs in line with project specifications and client requirementsPreparing design drawings, schematics and technical documentationDesigning LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and small power systemsUndertaking electrical calculations and ensuring compliance with relevant standardsCoordinating designs with mechanical services, architectural teams and other stakeholdersAttending client, design and coordination meetingsProviding technical support throughout the design and construction phasesAssisting with technical reports, specifications and tender documentationSupporting Junior Engineers and CAD Technicians where requiredEnsuring compliance with quality, health & safety and internal design proceduresWhat you'll need to succeedDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious experience in electrical building services designStrong understanding of LV power, lighting and building services systemsProficient in AutoCADGood working knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards, including BS 7671Strong communication and coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesDesirable:Revit experienceExperience working on commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projectsWhat you'll get in returnThis is a permanent role where you will be offered a competitive salary as well as the opportunity for continued career progression and development.
