Job Description
Designer Recruitment are seeking a Kitchen Designer to work with a luxury Italian kitchen company in London. Our client requires someone who is used to working on bespoke kitchen and wardrobe projects in the luxury market and someone who is technically sound and sales and design-focused.This is a permanent position paying £35,000 - £45,000 + commission for the right Kitchen Designer.Working hours: Monday to FridayKitchen Designer duties:Selling and designing bespoke Italian kitchens and furnitureAnalyse floor plans and classify unit types, wardrobes, and appliances to generate quantity take-offsPrepare and organise kitchen and wardrobe typologies, based on spec tiers and layout similaritiesPrepare tender documents: layouts, specification breakdowns, palette proposals, and pricing summariesWork closely with the Italian factory and internal commercial team to request and review pricingCoordinate with the internal team, suppliers and clientsUse spreadsheets to manage pricing, quantities, and revisions across multiple projectsPrepare and present project-specific presentation packs for HNW clientsCross-check specs with appliances, worktops, and finishes to ensure technical and cost compatibilityPrepare high-quality client presentations and support design team meetings with relevant visualsOrganise and update project folders with layouts, finishes, and product codes for each unit typeCoordinate with relevant team leads to flag service clashes, missing drawings, or scope inconsistenciesEnsure accuracy across all documents shared with clientsEssential Skills and Experience for the Kitchen Designer:Minimum 23 years experience in kitchen design in luxury interiorsStrong proficiency in Excel comfortable working with formulas, quantities, and structured dataGood working knowledge of kitchen detailing especially units, internal fittings, appliance integration, and service zonesFamiliarity with appliances (Neff, Siemens, Bosch etc.) and worktop materials (laminate, quartz, compact etc.)Experience using kitchen design software such as: Metron (desired but not essential), Winner Design and Revit (preferred for layouts and coordination)Ability to work across multiple live projects with shifting prioritiesStructured mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracyOrganised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple project timelinesCommercial awareness understanding how design choices affect pricing and lead timesFluent in preparing clear, structured documents and presentations for client reviewsExcellent written and spoken EnglishHighly responsible and take full ownership of assigned tasks, showing initiative in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and pushing projects forward.Bonus / Ideal AdditionsFamiliarity with premium kitchen brandsExperience preparing client-facing documents or presentationsItalian language skills helpful, but not requiredDesigner Recruitment are acting as the employment agency in relation to this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
