Underwriting Operations Analyst (MI & Controls) / Lloyd's Market / InsuranceNew permanent Underwriting Operations Analyst opportunity with a leading London Market insurerHybrid working (23 days per week in the office)Salary up to £65k + bonus & excellent benefits packageKEY SKILLS Experience working within a Lloyd's Syndicate or London Market insurerStrong knowledge of Lloyd's Non-Financial Returns (PMDR, RRQ, ATIA, GAREAT, Non-XIS, CIRC, TRIA)Advanced Excel skills with Power BI, SQL or data visualisation experienceStrong analytical skills with experience producing MI and working with large datasetsExcellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skillsTHE ROLE This is a highly visible role within the Operations team, supporting the effective execution of underwriting activities across the business. You'll be responsible for developing best-in-class underwriting management information, maintaining underwriting controls, improving data quality, and ensuring the successful delivery of Lloyd's regulatory reporting.Working closely with Underwriting Leadership, Finance, Actuarial, Compliance and Data teams, you'll produce insightful Power BI reporting and quarterly underwriting packs for senior committees. You'll also own the preparation and submission of Lloyd's Non-Financial Returns, ensuring all reporting is accurate, complete and delivered within regulatory deadlines.Alongside reporting responsibilities, you'll play a key role in monitoring underwriting controls, identifying opportunities to improve operational processes, enhance data quality, reduce manual effort through automation, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the underwriting function.THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have experience working within a Lloyd's Syndicate and a strong understanding of London Market underwriting operations and regulatory reporting. You'll have hands-on experience producing or supporting Lloyd's Non-Financial Returns, alongside excellent Excel skills and experience using Power BI, SQL or other data visualisation tools.You'll be highly analytical, comfortable interpreting complex datasets and presenting meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
