Field Service Engineer

We are recruiting an Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in the installation, maintenance and refurbishment of FMCGequipment.This is a varied role combining service, fault finding, installation and commissioning work across a broad range of machinery.The company is an established market leader with a strong customer baseand offers genuine earning potential through overtime and call-out opportunities.The RoleYou will work both independently and alongside a team of engineers carrying out:Installation and commissioning of new and refurbished equipmentPlanned preventative maintenance (PPM)Reactive breakdown support and fault findingMechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairsEquipment refurbishment and relocation projectsRoot Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activitiesTypical DutiesElectrical fault finding on 24V and 3-phase systemsPLC fault finding and diagnosticsControl panel assembly and wiringFixed wiring installations and modificationsReading and interpreting electrical schematicsHydraulic fault finding and repairMechanical strip down and rebuild of equipmentInstallation and commissioning at customer sitesProviding telephone and on-site technical supportWhat We're Looking ForLevel 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering16th, 17th or 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsPLC knowledge and fault-finding capabilityAbility to work independently and make decisions on-siteStrong problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis skillsFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel nationally and stay away when requiredThe Working PatternThis is a field-based role covering the UK, Ireland and occasional European sites.The position includes:Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pmRegular overtime opportunitiesOn-call rota of 1 week in 5National travelOvernight stays, occasionally up to 7 consecutive nightsOccasional night and weekend working depending on customer requirementsPackage & Benefits£40,000 - £45,000 basic salaryRealistic OTE of £60,000 - £70,000+Door-to-door payCompany van and fuel cardCompany credit cardMobile phoneTablet (optional)Private healthcare after 6 monthsEnhanced holiday payOngoing training and career developmentIn-house and external technical trainingThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys variety, likes solving problems and wants to work for a business that is growing quickly within a specialist sector.TPBN1_UKTJ
