CNC Turner ProgrammerSalary: From £19.00 per hourJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentHoursMonday to Thursday: 07:30 16:30Friday: 07:30 12:30Overtime regularly available with 6:00am starts or Saturday morning shifts (paid at standard hourly rate).The RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company.This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines from engineering drawings through to finished components. You'll be expected to work independently, produce high-quality work and inspect your own parts to ensure they meet customer specifications.The machines are Fanuc-based , and the role involves both online and offline programming .Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.Online and offline programming using Fanuc controls.Machining castings to tight tolerances.Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.Producing components from drawing through to finished product.Carrying out self-inspection using a range of measuring equipment.Making tooling and offset adjustments where required.Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.The Ideal CandidatePrevious experience as a CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator.Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes .Confident with both online and offline programming .Proven experience machining castings .Able to work independently without constant supervision.Comfortable producing complete components from engineering drawings through to finished parts.Strong understanding of precision engineering and quality control.Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.What's on OfferStarting rate of approximately £19.00 per hour , depending on experience.Early finish every Friday.Regular overtime opportunities.Permanent position with a stable and growing engineering business.Opportunity to work on varied and challenging precision engineering projects.If you're an experienced CNC Turner who enjoys working independently and takes pride in producing high-quality precision components, we'd love to hear from you.
