Job Description
Morson Group is partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Cardiff to recruit an experienced Job Runner. This role is open to either an ARB Registered Architect or a Chartered/Experienced Architectural Technician (MCIAT) who possesses a proven track record of independently delivering projects from concept through to completion on site.The successful candidate will take absolute ownership of live building projects, leading technical delivery, managing client relationships, and coordinating design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.Core ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and external consultants, running multiple live projects concurrently.Technical Delivery: Prepare, review, and issue comprehensive working drawing packages, technical details, and specifications utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.Team Coordination: Manage workflows and collaborate closely with internal multi-disciplinary teams (including structural, mechanical, and electrical specialists).Compliance & Legislation: Ensure all project documentation complies strictly with UK Building Regulations, Planning Permissions, and CDM health and safety regulations.Site Contract Administration: Conduct regular site visits, chair progress meetings, resolve on-site technical queries, and manage the project delivery phase.Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and support to junior architectural assistants and technicians within the studio.Key Requirements & QualificationsProfessional Qualification: ARB registration OR a degree/HNC/HND in Architectural Technology (MCIAT status preferred).Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience within a UK architectural practice, specifically demonstrated experience running projects independently.Software Mastery: Proficient in Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflows, with advanced skills in Revit and AutoCAD.SectorExposure: Experience working across residential, commercial, or retail sectors is highly advantageous.Skills: Exceptional communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and robust commercial awareness regarding project timelines and fees.Excellent remuneration, benefits as well as training, development and mentoring.TPBN1_UKTJ
