CNC Operator, Manufacturing TechnicianLiverpoolCompetitive salary plus shift allowance - details available on request12-hour day shifts (Mon-Wed Week 1 / Thu-Sat Week 2)PermanentAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join a precision manufacturing environment in Liverpool. This is a newly created role supporting the introduction of an in-house manufacturing capability for producing critical precision components within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.This is a highly autonomous role working closely with Engineering and Production teams, suited to someone who enjoys independent working within a quality-focused manufacturing environment.The RoleSet up and operate a range of CNC machine tools including:o5-axis machining centresoFanuc controlled CNC lathesoVertical machining centresoMulti-axis turn/mill machining centresManufacture precision components and sealing products to tight tolerancesCarry out machine setup, tooling changes and process optimisationWork within small batch and high-precision manufacturing environmentsUse inspection equipment including hard gauging, probing systems and CMM equipment to ensure product qualityRead and interpret technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentationWork with materials including stainless steels and heat-resistant super alloysMaintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeepingSupport continuous improvement initiatives and engineering activitiesEssential RequirementsTime-served machining/manufacturing background with a minimum of five years' experience within a precision engineering environmentExperience setting and operating CNC machinery within a high-precision manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and vertical machining centresMinimum two years' experience operating multi-axis CNC turn/mill machining centresExperience manufacturing components to fine tolerancesStrong understanding of ISO programmingExperience using inspection equipment including CMM and precision gaugingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to workAble to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team environmentDesirable ExperienceExperience with Okuma controlsExperience setting and operating Mazak Integrex machine toolsKnowledge of Mazatrol Smooth controlsGrinding experience (surface and/or internal)Experience of twin turret and twin spindle machiningExperience working within controlled, regulated or high-precision manufacturing environmentsImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
