Job Description

Sheet Metal machinery operators required by busy established aerospace parts manufacturing company. The roles involve the use of variety of Sheet metal machinery such as presses, guillotines and saws to assist in the manufacture of aircraft parts. This is a role where reliability, accuracy and attention to detail are essential, working to defined schedules and aerospace quality standards.Key responsibilitiesRead and interpret engineering drawings, lofts, templates and specificationsLay out, measure and mark materials accurately using appropriate tools (squares, rules, dividers, scribes, calculators)Set up and operate fabrication machinery including press brakes, guillotines, folding machines, shears, turret punches, band-saws and pressesCut, bend, form and assemble sheet metal components from layout through to finishingUse hand and power tools for fitting, trimming and finishing workPerform in-process and final quality checks to ensure parts meet tolerances and drawing requirementsMaintain accurate production records, escalate issues, and contribute to on-time deliveryParticipate in daily stand-up meetings and support workplace organisation / improvement projectsFollow all health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements; keep a clean and safe work areaRequired skills & experienceProven experience in sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing (sheet metal worker/fabricator or similar)Confident reading and working from technical/engineering drawings and specificationsStrong experience operating fabrication equipment (press brakes, guillotines, folding machinery, shears, etc.)Competent with measuring equipment and inspection to drawing requirementsExperience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminiumPractical problem-solving skills and a quality-first mindsetReliable, punctual and able to work independently and within cross-functional teamsAerospace or automotive manufacturing exposure (and AS9100 familiarity) is desirableThese are permanent jobs.
