Join a Leading FMCG Food Manufacturing BusinessTeamwork Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager Packaging, Ingredients & Dry Goods Stores to join a fast-paced food manufacturing operation in Glasgow.This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement and supply chain professional with strong FMCG experience to take ownership of packaging, ingredients, and dry goods procurement while ensuring uninterrupted supply to major UK retailers including Tesco, M&S, and Ocado.The RoleAs Purchasing Manager, you will lead the sourcing, planning, and management of all packaging materials and food ingredients required across the site. Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Technical, NPD, Commercial, and Finance teams, you will play a key role in maintaining supply continuity, driving cost savings, and supporting new product launches.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end procurement and material planning for packaging and ingredientsAttend NPD meetings and source materials for new product development projectsSet up and maintain product BOMs within planning systemsManage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and contract negotiationsEnsure compliance with retailer specifications including Tesco, M&S, Ocado, and other major customersOversee internal dry goods stores and external storage providersDrive cost optimisation and value engineering initiativesManage supply chain risks and resolve material supply issuesCollaborate with Operations, Technical, Packaging Development, Commercial, and Finance teamsMonitor procurement data, reporting, and KPI performanceSupport sustainability initiatives across packaging and materials procurementWhat We're Looking ForEssential ExperiencePrevious FMCG supply chain or purchasing experienceExperience within food manufacturing, chilled food, protein, or similar sectorsStrong understanding of packaging materials and food ingredientsExperience working with major UK retailers such as Tesco, M&S, and OcadoStrong supplier management and negotiation skillsExperience using ERP/MRP systems and forecasting toolsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsKnowledge of BRCGS standards, retailer codes of practice, and UK food legislationPersonal AttributesCommercially focused and results drivenStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organisational and planning abilitiesProactive approach to continuous improvementAbility to build strong relationships across multiple departmentsResilient and capable of managing competing prioritiesKey Performance IndicatorsSuccess in this role will be measured through:Material Availability (OTIF >99%)Cost Savings DeliveredPackaging Waste ReductionSupplier Performance ScoresCompliance Audit ResultsSuccessful NPD Launch ExecutionWhat's on OfferCompetitive salaryFull-time permanent positionFree on-site parkingOpportunity to work with major UK retail customersCareer development opportunities within a growing businessCollaborative and supportive working environmentApply TodayIf you're an experienced Purchasing Manager looking for your next challenge within FMCG food manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.Benefits:Casual dressFree parkingOn-site parkingWork Location: In personTPBN1_UKTJ
