MAINTENANCE PLANNERJob Title – Maintenance PlannerLocation – Northfleet, Gravesend, KentSalary – £56,500Shift – Monday to Friday (Days)Job Role of the Maintenance PlannerA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Planner to join a well-invested, heavy industrial manufacturing site that is currently undergoing major development and expansion. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer looking to come off the tools and transition into a hands-off, planning-focused position within a structured and forward-thinking environment.Working as part of a close-knit team of three, the Maintenance Planner will play a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed to maximise site efficiency and safety.You will be responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans in line with the Maintenance Management Plan (MMP), coordinating resources, and ensuring all maintenance work is carried out safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed maintenance plans aligned with the MMPReview and manage maintenance requests via CMMS, including creating work ordersConduct site assessments and plan required resources (materials, contractors, tools)Prepare risk assessments and safe systems of workCoordinate maintenance schedules with supervisors and production teamsManage both reactive and planned maintenance activitiesMaintain accurate records for audits (contractor reports, risk assessments, etc.)Carry out administrative duties including reporting, contractor bookings, and meeting coordinationIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costsSupervise contractors and act as Responsible Officer (RO), issuing permits to workEnsure high standards of safety, communication, and leadershipSector – Heavy Industry / ManufacturingNon-Negotiable RequirementsElectrical qualification Level 3 or aboveExperience within an industrial or heavy manufacturing environmentPlanning, scheduling, or project experienceComfortable working in a hands-off, computer-based roleAdditional RequirementsMust be open to undertaking monthly blood testsMust be willing to shower on-site before shiftsThe Maintenance Planner Will Benefit FromSalary of £56,500 (with expected increases)Opportunity to move to a 4-day working week after probationWorking for a globally backed, market-leading businessCompany pension schemePrivate medical insuranceEnhanced maternity and paternity leaveCycle to work schemeOn-site gym and free parkingSick pay and strong job security due to ongoing investmentTPBN1_UKTJ
