Behaviour Change PractitionerAn excellent opportunity for an experienced Behaviour Change Practitioner with safeguarding, case management and behavioural intervention experience to help adults and young people achieve lasting positive change through evidence-based programmes.If you've also worked in the following roles, we'd also like to hear from you: Counsellor, Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker, Offender Manager, Behaviour Change Facilitator, Perpetrator Programme Facilitator, Perpetrator Programme Facilitator, Talking Therapist, CBT Therapist, Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner, Behaviour Change Specialist, Intervention SpecialistSALARY: £30,240 per annum (pro rata) + BenefitsJOB TYPE: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract to 13 th January 2027 (possible extension)LOCATION: Hybrid working with both site-based and remote work covering the Thames Valley RegionWORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday, including one evening sessionJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Behaviour Change Practitioner to join a dedicated team helping individuals make meaningful and lasting changes to harmful behaviours.As a Behaviour Change Practitioner you will deliver evidence-based one-to-one and group interventions using CBT and DBT-informed approaches, working closely with criminal justice, safeguarding and partner agencies to promote safer outcomes.The successful Behaviour Change Practitioner will build positive relationships whilst maintaining professional boundaries, balancing empathy with accountability to support meaningful behavioural change.DUTIESYour duties as the Behaviour Change Practitioner include:Conduct Assessments: Complete assessments, inductions and personalised intervention planningDeliver Interventions: Facilitate CBT and DBT-informed one-to-one and group programmes across community and custodial settingsSupport Behaviour Change: Encourage participants to recognise and address harmful attitudes and behavioursManage Caseloads: Maintain accurate records, reports and case documentationWork with Partners: Liaise with police, probation, prisons, safeguarding services and other agenciesContribute to Risk Management: Participate in MASH, MAPPA and other multi-agency processes where appropriateMaintain Professional Standards: Attend clinical supervision, management supervision and ongoing professional developmentPromote Positive Outcomes: Safely manage challenging situations whilst maintaining professional boundariesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSEssentialPrevious experience working within safeguarding or risk management frameworksExperience managing competing priorities and maintaining an organised workloadExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to establish rapport while maintaining professional boundariesGood administration, record-keeping and digital communication skillsExperience providing support both face-to-face and remotelyDesirableCounselling, Psychology, Probation or a related qualificationUnderstanding or experience of Dialectical Behaviour TherapyExperience contributing to MASH, MAPPA or similar meetingsExperience delivering interventions within criminal justice, social care or domestic abuse servicesUnderstanding of the psychological and social factors associated with harmful behavioursBENEFITSHybrid Working: Flexible hybrid working arrangementsProfessional Development: Ongoing learning, reflective practice and supervisionSupportive Team: Collaborative and experienced multidisciplinary teamMeaningful Work: Opportunity to help create safer futures for individuals, families and communitiesThis role is subject to an Enhanced DBS checkAPPLY TODAYBy submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.JOB REF: AWDO-C14878Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract Jobs, Careers and Vacancies.
