You will follow engineering specifications, adhere to health and safety requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills, progress your career, and play a meaningful part in the companies continued success.Technical Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs an Electrical Fitter I, you will carry out a range of electrical assembly and installation tasks, working from drawings and instructions, and under supervision where required.Electrical Assembly & InstallationCut, drill, deburr and prepare electrical containment (such as trunking, tray and conduit)Install electrical containment systems in line with drawingsCarry out basic mechanical preparation to support electrical installationInstall electrical components and assemblies under supervisionWiring & TerminationAssist with panel wiring under supervision, including:o Control circuitso Low and high voltage circuitso Motors, plugs and socketsPrepare and terminate cables, including multicore and screened cablesCarry out crimping and soldering tasks using approved tools and methodsDress cables neatly and fit identification labels correctlySupport earthing and bonding activities under supervisionDrawings, Quality & DocumentationWork from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams (with support where required)Understand common electrical symbolsComplete job documentation accurately using company systemsFollow approved engineering change and quality processesMaintenance & SupportAssist with electrical fault finding and basic maintenance activitiesSupport electrical checks during machine build and handoverMaintain a clean, safe and organised working area in line with 5S standardsLearning & DevelopmentDevelop knowledge of the equipment and systems through hands-on experience and trainingLearn different product lines over time as skills developTake part in training, mentoring and continuous improvement activitiesSupport new starters and apprentices when appropriateSkills, Knowledge & ExperienceAbility to follow engineering drawings and technical documentationExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityA proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learnGood communication skills and a team-focused mindsetFull training will be provided on equipment and systems.
