Its about building relationships, solving problems and keeping cash moving.We are working with an establishedtech business who due to growth, is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join its friendly finance team. You will have ownership of your own customer portfolio and the freedom to take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to reducing outstanding debt.If you enjoy speaking with customers, untangling account queries and seeing the results of your work, this could be an excellent next move.The role: No two days will be exactly the same, but your responsibilities will include:Managing your own portfolio of customer accountsBuilding positive relationships while confidently chasing overdue paymentsInvestigating queries and resolving account discrepanciesAllocating incoming payments and reconciling accountsUploading invoices to customer portalsWorking closely with internal teams to resolve issues quicklyManaging unallocated payments and processing customer refundsCompleting credit checks for new and existing customersSupporting month-end cash postingPreparing documentation for legal recovery when requiredMaintaining accurate direct debit and customer recordsLending a hand with wider business administration when neededThe candidate: You will be an organised and confident communicator who can balance persistence with excellent customer service.Previous credit control experienceThe ability to commute to the Camberley officeA proactive, solutions-focused mindsetExperience with Sage, Oracle or a similar finance system is desirable but not essential.Strong relationship-building and communication skillsExcellent organisation and attention to detailThe ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environmentA calm, practical approach to problem-solvingIn return: £28,500£31,000 per annumHybrid working, including 12 days from homeThe opportunity to join a progressive businessA welcoming and collaborative finance teamGenuine ownership of your customer portfolioA varied role where your work will make a visible differenceReady to take control of your next career move?
