As part of their continued expansion, they are now seeking an Estimator to join their pre-construction team and support the successful delivery of future projects.The RoleAs Estimator, you will be responsible for:Assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for a wide range of construction and refurbishment projectsReviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentationProducing detailed take-offs, cost plans, and pricing schedulesObtaining and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliersAssisting with the preparation of tender submissions within agreed timescalesIdentifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutionsWorking closely with the commercial, operational, and pre-construction teamsSupporting risk assessments and commercial reviews during the tender processBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clientsAssisting with handovers to project delivery teams following successful tendersThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Estimator will have:Approximately 3-4 years' estimating experience within the construction industryPrevious experience working for a main contractor or specialist contractorStrong understanding of estimating principles and construction methodsThe ability to interpret construction drawings and specificationsGood commercial awareness and analytical skillsExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesA proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and developThe ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamRelevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageousWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salaryAttractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a growing and well-established construction contractorExposure to a diverse range of construction and refurbishment projectsLong-term career progression within a supportive pre-construction teamOngoing professional development and mentoringCollaborative and friendly working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
