Working across sectors including rail, highways, drainage, earthworks, and public realm, they pride themselves on technical excellence, collaborative working, and delivering value to our clients.Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and motivated Bid Writer to join our team based in Leeds (with Hybrid working)Role OverviewThe Bid Writer will play a key role in supporting the business development and pre-construction teams by producing high-quality, compelling bid and tender submissions. The successful candidate will coordinate responses, gather technical information from internal stakeholders, and ensure submissions are completed to a high standard within strict deadlines.This role offers hybrid working, combining office-based collaboration in Leeds with flexible remote working.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, write, edit, and coordinate compelling bid and tender submissionsReview tender documentation and identify key client requirementsCollaborate with operational, commercial, and technical teams to gather content and supporting informationDevelop tailored responses for PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and framework submissionsEnsure all submissions are compliant, accurate, and submitted within deadlinesMaintain and improve the company's bid library and supporting documentationCoordinate bid review meetings and manage bid programmesProofread and format documents to ensure consistency and professionalismSupport the development of case studies, CVs, and marketing collateralMonitor tender portals and identify relevant opportunities where requiredCandidate RequirementsEssentialPrevious experience in a Bid Writer or Proposal Writer roleExperience working within civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, or related sectorsExcellent written English and proofreading skillsStrong organisational and time management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detail and a proactive approachDesirableKnowledge of public sector procurement processesExperience with framework submissions and NEC contractsAPMP qualification or similar bid management accreditationExperience using tender portals and bid management softwarePersonal AttributesHighly motivated and self-drivenStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsCollaborative team playerCommercially aware with a customer-focused mindsetAble to work effectively under pressureTPBN1_UKTJ
