Placement Coordinator – ConstructionPoole | Full Time | Fixed Term to 31 March 2027Are you passionate about helping young people take their first steps into the world of work?We're looking for a proactive and organised Placement Coordinator - Construction to join our Business Development and Partnerships team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by connecting students with valuable industry placements that build confidence, develop workplace skills and support future career success.Working closely with employers, curriculum teams, students and parents, you'll play a key role in create high-quality placement opportunities that support students' career development.What you'll be doingAs a Placement Coordinator, you'll:Build and maintain strong relationships with construction employers to source high-quality industry placementsSupport students with placement preparation, including CV development and employability skillsMatch students to suitable placement opportunities that align with their career goalsMonitor student progress and provide ongoing support throughout their placement journeyConduct placement visits and ensure learners receive a safe and positive experienceEnsure all placements meet safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance requirementsMaintain accurate records using college systems and employer CRM platformsWork collaboratively with curriculum teams to enhance student outcomes and progression opportunitiesWhat we're looking forWe're seeking someone who is:An excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skillsHighly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectivelyPassionate about supporting young people and improving employability outcomesComfortable engaging with employers, students, parents and colleagues at all levelsConfident using Microsoft Office and digital systemsAble to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamYou'll ideally have experience in a customer-facing, administrative, education, employability, recruitment, or stakeholder engagement environment.Why join us?You'll play a key role in helping students develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.We encourage early applications, as we may close the vacancy once we receive a sufficient number of strong applications.Working at Bournemouth and Poole CollegeMore than just a job.At Bournemouth & Poole College, we are passionate about turning potential into professionals.
