This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working under pressure, solving problems and keeping multiple tasks organised.This position offers far more than a traditional administration role. You will gain valuable exposure to the operational side of the business, working closely with our planning team, suppliers and operators. For the right candidate, this role provides a genuine opportunity to progress into a Transport/Operational Planner position, with full training and support as you develop your knowledge of HGV/Plant coordination, logistics and operational planning.The RoleYou will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business. Working alongside the operations team, you will coordinate administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, liaise with customers and suppliers, and help ensure our hire operations run efficiently.Success in this role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise a busy workload, confidence when communicating with customers and colleagues, and exceptional attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email.Update and maintain daily operational spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.Process daily operational logs and maintain accurate records.Update internal systems with hire information, customer details and operational updates.Liaise with customers, suppliers, transport providers and field operatives.Coordinate hotel and accommodation bookings for operators when required.Assist with remote audits and compliance documentation.Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and efficiently.Support the scheduling and coordination of equipment deliveries and collections.Monitor outstanding paperwork and ensure documentation is completed correctly.Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems.Assist the operations team with general administration and ad hoc duties.Provide excellent customer service and represent Blade Access professionally at all times.About YouWe're looking for someone who is highly organised, motivated and enjoys working in a busy office environment.
