Youll gain exposure to a wide range of projects and receive hands-on mentoring from experienced professionals, with genuine long-term progression on offer.About the Company Our client is a well-established main contractor with an excellent reputation across London and the South East, delivering high-quality construction, refurbishment, restoration, and maintenance projects across both public and private sectors.They are known for delivering technically challenging projects in occupied and sensitive environments, where quality, planning, and attention to detail are critical.Typical Projects Include: Refurbishment & fit-out schemesStructural repair & remediation worksHeritage & restoration projectsPlanned maintenance frameworksResidential & social housing schemesEducation, healthcare & public sector buildingsExternal envelope and faade worksTypical Project Values: Small works from £100k£250kMid-size projects from £500k£5mMajor schemes up to £15m+Assistant Estimator Role Overview Working closely with senior members of the pre-construction team, you will support the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a varied project portfolio.Key responsibilities will include:Assisting with tender reviews and analysis of project documentationMeasuring quantities from drawings and specificationsSupporting take-offs and bill preparationObtaining subcontractor and supplier quotationsAssisting in pricing exercises and tender submissionsHelping identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering optionsSupporting smooth handovers to commercial and operational teamsAssistant Estimator Candidate Requirements We are keen to speak with candidates who have:13 years experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or construction support roleorA construction-related degree/HNC/HND with relevant placement or practical experienceYou should also have:Strong numerical and analytical skillsGood attention to detailConfidence working with drawings and technical documentsStrong Excel and IT skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learnExcellent communication skillsExperience within a main contractor, fit-out, refurbishment, or specialist subcontractor environment would be advantageous, but not essential.Why Apply?
