Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to play a key role in delivering a major, multi-billion-pound infrastructure programme of national significance.This is a high-impact opportunity to lead complex procurement activity across large-scale capital projects, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work will directly influence long-term infrastructure outcomes.The RoleYou will take ownership of a portfolio of procurement projects, leading strategy development, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations across a complex delivery programme.Key responsibilities include:Leading end-to-end procurement activity across major infrastructure or capital projectsDeveloping and executing category and sourcing strategies aligned to programme objectivesManaging supplier selection processes and leading commercial negotiationsBuilding strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partnersEnsuring robust governance, compliance, and audit-ready documentationUsing market intelligence and data insights to identify risks, opportunities, and value improvementsSupporting post-award contract management activities in collaboration with commercial teamsMentoring junior team members and promoting procurement best practiceKey RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Strong experience in infrastructure or capital project procurement environmentsProven experience working with NEC contracts (NEC3 and/or NEC4 is essential)Demonstrable experience delivering procurements under regulated frameworks , including at least one of:Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ( PCR2015 )Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 ( UCR2016 )Procurement Act 2023 ( PA23 )Experience developing and delivering procurement and category strategiesStrong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple complex procurement activities simultaneouslySolid understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management in regulated environmentsWhy Apply?Opportunity to work on a flagship UK infrastructure programme with long-term national impactHigh visibility role with the ability to influence strategic procurement decisionsCollaborative and forward-thinking environmentStrong focus on career development, leadership, and progressionCompetitive salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits packageApply NowIf you are an experienced procurement professional with, working in a Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Sourcing Manager, Purchasing Specialist, Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager or similar role with a background in major projects, NEC contracts and regulated procurement , we would love to hear from you.Salary and Package£55,000-£64,000 with a strong benefits package that includes:Individual private medical coverDouble-matched pension schemeAnnual bonus schemeTPBN1_UKTJ
