Aluminium Boatbuilder

We are seeking a highly experienced all round Aluminium Boatbuilder for a short term contract supporting a bespoke marine build project. This is a hands on role covering fabrication, welding, assembly, and outfitting of aluminium vessels.Key ResponsibilitiesMIG/TIG welding of marine-grade aluminiumFabrication including cutting, forming, and bending plateInterpreting and working from technical drawingsHull build and structural assembly of aluminium vesselsInstallation and integration of marine systemsBasic electrical workOutfitting and finishingWorking to marine standards and compliance requirementsProblem solving on bespoke/custom aluminium buildsSkills & ExperienceEssential:Proven, hands on experience in aluminium boatbuilding (not just general fabrication or welding)Strong MIG/TIG welding capability on aluminiumExperience working on aluminium hull construction and vessel structuresAbility to read and interpret technical/engineering drawingsDesirable:Experience integrating marine systemsBasic electrical awarenessGeneral:Solid workshop skills (measuring, tooling, material handling)High attention to detail and qualityAbility to hit the ground running in a fast-paced build environmentDuration: On goingHours: 40 standard (typically ~50 with overtime)Rate: £27-£28 per hourIf you are an adept Aluminium Boatbuilder with the requisite skills and experience, we encourage you to apply now for this exciting contract opportunity.
