Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking either a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join our clients business in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with a strong building services background to work on a diverse portfolio of high-quality projects across multiple sectors.You will be responsible for producing innovative, compliant, and cost-effective engineering designs from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.Key Responsibilities Produce mechanical or electrical building services designs for a range of projects.Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and technical drawings.Develop designs from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.Attend client, design, and site meetings as required.Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards, and industry best practice.Support project delivery to programme and budget.Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement within the design team.Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Design.Proven experience delivering projects across several of the following sectors: CommercialMinistry of Defence (MOD)HeritageHealthcareEducationDegree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).Proficient in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant calculation software.Strong knowledge of current Building Regulations, British Standards, and CIBSE guidance.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Full UK driving licence.TPBN1_UKTJ
