OverviewOur client, a specialist contractor delivering major geotechnical and foundation works across the UK's largest infrastructure programmes, is seeking an experienced Supervisor to support the safe and successful delivery of ground engineering works on site.Job DescriptionReporting to a General Superintendent or senior site management, you will play a key operational role coordinating daily site activities and supervising construction teams across designated work areas, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to high quality standards, and in line with the programme. Working closely with engineers, construction teams, subcontractors, and specialist operatives, you will contribute to the delivery of technically complex geotechnical and foundation packages.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day construction activities across designated work areasCoordinate site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality requirementsManage labour, plant, and subcontractor resources allocated to designated work packagesMonitor productivity and operational performance, implementing corrective actions where requiredSupport construction planning, sequencing, and temporary works coordination within live site environmentsReport progress, issues, and production updates to the General Superintendent or senior managementConduct daily toolbox talks and shift briefings with supervised teamsEnsure compliance with project safety, environmental, and quality standards across all activitiesConduct daily site inspections and checks to ensure works meet specification requirementsSupport implementation of RAMS and safe systems of work across supervised areasAssist with incident reporting, hazard assessments, and corrective actionsSupport development and coaching of site personnel and promote collaborative workingExperienceProven experience working as a Supervisor, Foreman, or similar operational role within major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projectsStrong track record supervising labour, plant, and subcontractor teams on live construction sitesExperience working within geotechnical, piling, ground improvement, or specialist foundation environments is highly advantageousProven experience within a Tier 1 or specialist contractor environmentGood operational understanding of heavy civil engineering and infrastructure deliveryKnowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site coordination practicesStrong understanding of HSEQ requirements and safe working practices in live construction environmentsAbility to interpret technical drawings and construction specificationsValid CSCS card and relevant supervisory qualifications (e.g. SSSTS / SMSTS) advantageousPersonal AttributesStrong supervisory and people management capabilityProactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solvingExcellent communication and engagement skillsHighly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsCollaborative mindset with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and performanceSalaryStarting from £300.00 per day (negotiable)To apply, please apply here or send your CV toOur clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
